White Ibises on the SC Coast.

White Ibises are known to congregate in the wetlands and marshlands of the southeastern areas. During an exploration of Hunting Island, I had the fortunate opportunity to photograph a colony of White Ibises. The male birds can exhibit protective behavior towards their nest, actively deterring potential rivals or attempts to steal nesting material or making advances on a potential mate.
