Sun Rise Time-lapse from cooper ricketts on Vimeo.

I recently went down to Jekyll Island to do some landscape photography. I had been there before but it had been several years ago and I did not have a camera at that time. I really wanted to focus on Drift Wood Beach and see what was there to photograph. Trying to achieve the look I wanted really depended on the tides and lighting. Jekyll Island is an amazing place, and it was an amazing trip.

Posted: 01/18/2010 in Gear, Photography, Video

The Leica S2 is a cross between a medium formate censor and a 35mm body. PDN named this camera the camera of the year. This camera id diffidently made for professionals, mainly for studio and tethered shooting since it only shoots 1.5 fps.

Chris Weeks is a freelance photographer in L.A. who likes to shoot video with the 5d mark 2. I thought this video was interesting and helpful because he goes over what he uses and why and were to find cheap.

The Story Beyond The Still
Introducing the first user-generated HD Video Contest where photographers become filmmakers, and we all see beyond the still. To kick off the contest, Canon asked photographer, Vincent Laforet, to interpret what story lives beyond this still and to tell that story with the new Canon EOS 7D. His will be the first chapter of seven, each ending with a still photograph for the next aspiring filmmaker to interpret. Posing the question to everyone, what do you see beyond the still? I think this is a really cool idea, I have always liked the idea of callborating with other artists. If your interested in the contest click here .
