I just got back from showcase and here is what I got, Canon Eos 7D Canon EF 50mm 1.4 and a vertical grip. So far I am very happy with the new equipment the only draw back is that the 7D is so new that I cant view my files in Adobe bridge. However the 7D came with software that I will have to upload to the computer at school in order to work on my files.
Sunday I went to the store and just happened to find some people who were going to fly a hot air balloon, I thought it was an interesting process.
Today I go my student loan money so after I finish my photojournalism work I will be heading to showcase in Atlanta to pick up some gear. I have been waiting a long time to get this money so I
am excited to go and be able to get some new equipment.
I found this article on PDN.com I am not a huge reader of Newsweek I like Time and Life better, but I still thought that this was interesting.Director of Photography Simon Barnett has been at Newsweek for nine years. Three other photo staff have been laid off. Newsweek has been hit hard by a drop in advertising revenue. So what does this mean for Newsweek and the staff that got laid off. My teacher Mr.Jones told me today about a free show at Scad 1600 Peachtree St Atlanta Ga. So I am thinking about going to the art show at Scad tonight, the show starts at 7 and goes till 9 it should be interesting and theres free food.
Canon is giving rebates on their lens right now until early January they are giving 80 to 100 dollars off on select Canon lenses, go to B&H Photo to see what lenses are in the qualification.
