My cousin recently had a new baby girl she came by the house today and I took a couple of pictures of her, I think I’ll take some more before she get’s bigger.
New Inspiration.
I was looking for some new and different ways of compositing photos when I stumbled on to Erick Johanson’s website I became an instant fan, I don’t usually do a lot of compositing with my work but who knows I might have to start.
7D Firmware Update.
Now I have not updated my 7D but then agin I havent had any problems with it doesn’t mean you shouldnt go ahead and update it but if you havent run in to any problems you can probably wait and if you have more questions or want more info regarding the 7D click here or here

Canon has killed the links to the firmware on the various sites around the globe. So I am going to host it instead.
Download EOS 7D Firmware 1.2.5 (12.4mb)
Extract the .fir file and put it on the root of a CF card. Put the CF card in your 7D and go to the firmware section in your menu. Select the file on the card and install.
This firmware is official Canon firmware that was prematurely leaked by Canon UK & Canon Europe.
Disclaimer
Should you install it? I have and everything is ok. If you’re a bit uncomfortable doing so, you can probably live without it. If you have any of the bugs listed below, installing it is probably wise.

Changes in this firmware
Firmware Version 1.2.5 incorporates the following improvements and fixes.
- Fixed a rare phenomenon in which there were rare cases where movie files taken could not be opened when repeatedly shooting movies with specific CF cards.
- Fixed a rare phenomenon in which there were cases where “Err 02″ appeared when repeatedly shooting still images with specific CF cards.
- Fixed a phenomenon that occurred when using high-capacity (32 GB or greater) CF cards: If either a CF card with only a little available space remaining or the battery was removed and then reinserted into the camera, and then the user attempted to start shooting movies immediately, shooting would stop.
- Improved the writing/reading speeds when using UDMA 7-compatible CF cards.
- Fixed a phenomenon that occurred when custom function C.Fn 4-1 was set to assign IS start to the AF stop button on the lens: When used with lenses that do not have an AF stop button, the IS function would not work.
- Corrected some mistakes in the menu screens displayed in Arabic and Portuguese. (This applies to models in overseas markets. The models for the Japanese market do not display those languages.)
Panorama.
I recently went up to Lake Lainer with some photography friends, Brittany Roy, Amy Andoe and William Twitty it was a nice day for picture-taking and I thought I would do a panorama.
Rollerblading In Atlanta.
Before I got in to photography I skated all the time so this was a collaboration of two loves, we skated for the better part of the day and I thought these are the most interesting. I think I will take more skating pictures in the future.
Model Shoot.
Today I took some pics for an aspiring model Savanna, we headed in to Marietta and shot at various locations there my good friend Brett May helped with the shoot.
MMA Fight.
I attended and photographed Fight Night at Wild Bills,I shot with Nelson B, it was a caged match style of fight which was a bit difficult to shoot. I still had a good time shooting and I think I walked away with some good images.
New Gear!
I recently purchased Apples Magic Mouse.Now if you don’t own this magic mouse I recommend it. Its pretty amazing. Why is it amazing, well it uses the same touch screen technology as in the iphone.It takes some getting use to but all in all its pretty cool. Also, I find using it to Photoshop is a breeze, it makes certain parts of my work flow simpler . If your curious about this mouse you can find it at the Apple store.
Cold Cold Go Away.
I dont know about you, but I am ready for warmer weather. However all the snow and ice has made for some interesting photo shoots.
Oldies But Goodies.
The above pictures are some of my first film developments. I had a passion for photography before I went to school for it and I learned how to develop process and print at the Automated Darkroom in Atlanta Ga. I think it is interesting to look back and see how far I have come.
