I had decided to make the drive to the white mountains for a sunset hike at Ancient Bristlecone pine tree park. These trees are some of the oldest in the world being around 4,000 years old and older. The trail around the forest is staggeringly beautiful. The Dolomite rocks, strange blue pine cones and wind swept trees made for a surreal and special evening.
